Recently, I was interviewed for an Italian FoodTech newsletter (you can have a look and subscribe here) about the state of investments in Europe and also in Italy. For that, DigitalFoodLab produced a graph on the state of investments in Italian FoodTech startups. They were pretty sluggish until recently. In the past couple of years, they have finally increased quite significantly. You can now identify exciting ventures in almost all FoodTech categories.
