Did you know that it was only twenty years ago that the first genome was fully sequenced? At that time, it cost $95M. Two decades later, the price has dropped to $450, and new instruments will again halve this price.
How does it relate to food? Today, you can buy a $100 at-home test which only sequences 0,02% of your genome to provide you with insights on which foods you should prioritize or avoid. This is still an emerging science, and we are very confident that it will get better and more useful in the years to come, notably if prices for sequencing keep dropping.
