8 notable deals and things to know this week (2023 – week #27)

🇫🇷 🛒 Willy Anti-Gaspi, a French startup, raised €1M for its anti-waste and low-price e-commerce grocery platform. Unlike competitors, notably Sweden’s Motatos, Willy focuses on organic products and has a greater focus on anti-waste. In a period of high inflation, we strongly believe that these ventures that put low prices at the core of their food delivery offerings have great potential.

🇦🇷 🐷 Moolec, an Argentinian startup, showcased ‘Piggy Sooy’, a soybean that produces animal protein, as part of its molecular farming technology.

🇪🇪 🌾 eAgronom, an Estonian startup, raised €5.5M for its carbon credit marketplace. The goal is to help farmers transition towards more sustainable practices through incentives.

🇩🇪 🐟 Bluu Seafood, a German startup, raised $17.5M to bring its seafood products made through cellular agriculture to the market.

🇮🇪 🐄 StrongBó Agritech, an Irish startup, raised €0.75M for its innovative weighing process in the beef industry.

🇺🇸 🍽️ Everytable, an American startup, raised $25M for a combination of healthy meals available through its stores and weekly deliveries through a subscription.

🇺🇸 🍎 Bitewell, an American startup, raised $4M for its corporate programs designed to help employees make healthier food choices.

🇦🇺 🧑‍🌾 Stacked Farm, an Australian vertical farming startup, raised €60M from a leading foodservice distributor.
